Volttic — Support
Help for technicians and for the offices that run them.
The fastest way to reach a person:
We answer on working days. If the app is down or a call will not connect, say so in the subject line and it gets looked at first.
What to include
Four things turn a slow support thread into a fast one:
- The email address you sign in with.
- What you were doing when it went wrong — the job, the screen, the step.
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- Roughly when it happened, and whether it happens every time.
Common questions
- I can't sign in.
- Accounts are created by your company, not by us. If your email is not recognised, ask whoever runs Volttic at your company to add you — then check your inbox for the invitation, including spam.
- I signed in, but there are no jobs.
- You are signed in but not yet assigned to a site. Someone at your company has to put you on one. Until they do the app is deliberately empty rather than showing you another company's work.
- The assistant can't hear me.
- Check the microphone permission in iOS Settings → Volttic. If it was denied once, iOS will not ask again and the switch has to be turned back on by hand.
- A call connects but there is no video.
- Same place: iOS Settings → Volttic → Camera. If both permissions are on and video still does not appear, email us with the approximate time of the call — calls are logged and we can look it up.
- Are my calls recorded?
- They may be. The app shows you when a call is being recorded, and the recording belongs to your company. See the privacy policy.
- Does the app track where I am?
- No. It reads your location only at the moment you tap to check in to a job, and never while the app is closed.
- I lost work when the app closed.
- Job capture and close-out notes are saved to the phone as you type, so they normally survive a crash or a force-quit. If something did vanish, tell us which job and what you had written — that is a bug and we want it.
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. That removes your sign-in and your name. The jobs you recorded stay with your company as its records — the privacy policy explains why.
Requirements
Volttic runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later. It needs a network connection, and an account issued by a company that uses Volttic.
